--- draft: false title: "API License" publishDate: "2026-08-08 10:00" --- # Coflnet API License **Version of 8 August 2026.** This License applies only when the accepted SkyBlock API agreement root pins this exact version. This License governs the public Coflnet SkyBlock APIs identified on the developer page ("**API**"). The accepted API root also pins the exact [Core Terms](/terms-of-service) and [Data Export and Derivative Use License (Prem+)](/data-license) that apply. It must be shown as part of that root before an API key is issued or, for keyless endpoints, where the API is documented. This License controls only for its stated API subject matter; the Core Terms control otherwise. ## 1. Access 1.1 Access requires a Coflnet account and, where the documentation says so, an API key. API keys are personal to your account, are credentials subject to the account-security rules in the Core Terms, and may not be shared, sold or passed on. Requests are attributed to the key or account they are made with. 1.2 The endpoints, data scope, request limits (for example requests per period), formats and support level are stated in the API documentation for the respective tier at the time of use. We may operate separate tiers with different limits for non-commercial and commercial use. ## 2. Free use for non-commercial purposes 2.1 Use of the API within the documented limits is free of charge for **Non-Commercial Use**. Non-Commercial Use means use that is neither intended for nor directed toward commercial advantage, monetary compensation or use in a business, and includes in particular: personal use; school, study and non-commercial research projects; and free, non-monetized community tools and open-source projects that neither charge users, carry paid advertising or sponsorship, receive donations exceeding their documented operating costs or EUR 500 per calendar year (whichever is higher), nor serve the internal operations of a business. 2.2 Every other use is **Commercial Use**. Commercial Use includes in particular: paid or subscription tools, tools with advertising, sponsorship or affiliate monetization, paid Discord bots or bot tiers, use inside or for a business (including internal analysis), and use to provide a service to a paying third party. If a use begins non-commercially and becomes commercial, section 3 applies from that point on. 2.3 **Attribution for public projects:** Free use under this section 2 is granted subject to the following attribution condition. If your project is a website or another publicly available product that displays API data or results derived from it to the public, it must contain a clearly visible credit of the form "data from [sky.coflnet.com](https://sky.coflnet.com)" — or a wording with the same meaning — together with a functioning hyperlink to sky.coflnet.com or to the more specific Coflnet page documented for the API you use. The credit must appear on the page or screen where the data is shown, or in an about or credits section directly reachable from there, and must not be hidden, disguised or suppressed for ordinary visitors. In media without hyperlink capability (for example video or print), naming the source in text is sufficient. The credit must not suggest that Coflnet operates, sponsors or endorses your project. Purely private, internal or otherwise non-public use requires no attribution. If the attribution is missing, we will point this out and allow a reasonable period — ordinarily 14 days — to add it before measures under section 6.2 are taken; free use of the affected project remains permitted during that period. 2.4 **Binding classification on request:** If you are unsure how your use is classified, ask us at [support@coflnet.com](mailto:support@coflnet.com) before you start or before the character of your use changes, describing the project and its funding. A classification we confirm in text form binds us: we will not retroactively treat use as Commercial Use for the period in which it matched the description we confirmed. We may reclassify only for the future, with reasonable notice, if the use or its funding changes. ## 3. Commercial use requires an active Prem+ subscription 3.1 Commercial Use of the API is permitted only while the account making the requests, or its authorized organization account, has an active subscription to the plan marketed as **"Prem+"**, and only for endpoints that the API documentation expressly marks as enabled for the commercial tier and within their stated limits. An active subscription alone does not activate an undocumented endpoint or a data use that an applicable third-party API or platform rule does not permit. The binding Order or product page states the price and term. 3.2 For Commercial Use, the further use of retrieved data — including building and commercially exploiting derivative products, the prohibition on redistributing raw data, personal-data obligations and the deletion duties after the subscription ends — is governed by sections 1.3, 3, 4 and 5 of the [Data Export and Derivative Use License (Prem+)](/data-license), which apply accordingly to data retrieved through the API. For Non-Commercial Use, sections 1.3, 3.1, 4 and 6.2 of that License apply accordingly; retrieved data may not be commercially exploited or redistributed as a dataset. 3.3 If we detect Commercial Use without the required subscription, we may — following the graduated, proportionate enforcement process in the Core Terms — restrict or suspend the access concerned and require the use to either end or be moved onto a Prem+ subscription. Statutory claims for the period of unauthorized use remain unaffected. ## 4. Fair use of the interfaces You may not: exceed or circumvent documented request limits, including by rotating keys, accounts or IP addresses; scrape endpoints that are not documented for your tier; resell, share or pool API access for third parties; use the API to build or seed a replacement source for Coflnet's database (section 3.1 of the Data License); disrupt or overload the API; or use retrieved data for unlawful purposes. Automated access to our websites outside the documented API endpoints is governed by the Core Terms, not by this License. ## 5. Availability and changes 5.1 The free tier is provided within the limits of our operational capacity; we may adjust its limits, endpoints and formats with reasonable regard for documented non-commercial projects. For paid use, the service-performance, modification and discontinuation rules in the Core Terms apply. We aim to announce breaking changes to documented production endpoints in advance in the API documentation or changelog. 5.2 Endpoints labelled "beta", "preview" or "experimental" are governed by the beta-feature rule in the Core Terms. ## 6. Term, suspension and final provisions 6.1 The API License for free use can be ended by either side at any time with effect for the future; for paid use, the term and termination rules of the Prem+ plan apply. Sections 3.2 (post-termination duties via the Data License) and 4 survive for data already retrieved. 6.2 Suspension and enforcement follow the graduated, proportionate process in the Core Terms. Its warranty and liability provisions also apply. Mandatory rights, including § 87e UrhG and mandatory consumer rights, remain unaffected.
